The purpose of this policy and procedure is to outline how Empowering Connection delivers Supported Independent Living (SIL) supports that enable participants to live as independently as possible while receiving the assistance they require in a shared or individual living environment.

This policy and procedure applies to all staff involved in delivering or overseeing SIL supports and meets relevant legislation, regulations and NDIS Practice Standards.

• SIL supports are delivered in accordance with participant Support Plans and Service Agreements.

Outcome

Each participant’s rights, dignity and choice are respected in their home.

• Participants exercise choice and control over daily routines where possible.
• Privacy, dignity and autonomy are upheld.
