The purpose of this policy and procedure is to outline how Empowering Connection delivers Short Term Respite (STR) supports in a safe, participant-centred and outcomes-focused manner.

Short Term Respite provides participants with temporary, planned support that promotes independence, wellbeing, skill development and choice, while also supporting informal carers.

This policy and procedure applies to all staff involved in delivering or coordinating STR supports and meets relevant legislation, regulations and NDIS Practice Standards.
